Pilar Gold Inc is a gold mining company with a portfolio of operations in Brazil and Finland. The group has current annual production of ~45,000 oz Au and near term aspirations to reach 150,000 oz Au p.a.
The Company acquired its flagship PGDM operation in April 2021 which includes three underground mines, one open pit project in development stage and a 4,500 tpd modern processing facility along with significant associated infrastructure. PGDM uses a "hub and spoke" strategy with satelite mines in the Goiás region through which it plans to achieve aggressive production growth over the near term.
The Laiva mine in Finland, acquired by Pilar Gold in November 2022, is an open pit gold mine with a state-of-the-art 6,000 tonne per day plant and associated infrastructure and the company plans to bring it into production in 2023.
The company looks to grow through mergers and acquisitions with a long term view to becoming a mid tier gold producer.
PGDM, situated in Goias state of Brazil, is the company’s flagship gold producing business. Acquired from Equinox Gold in April 2021, it consists of three producing underground mines and one open pit in development stage.
Faina, located in Goias, Brazil, is the location of Pilar's super high-grade Sertão mine which is planned for production onset in 2023. Average grades of all unmined, mineralised drill holes at Sertão as of 31 August 2022 are 1.3 metres at 40.5 g/t Au.
